Each Memorial Day Weekend, JRC members get out of the city to spend a Shabbat with family and friends at Camp Beber conference center in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. The weekend is filled with learning, praying, socializing, sports, singing, dancing, games and lots of food.
Adults explore a specific topic for learning, led by the Rabbi and/or Cantor. Shabbat is celebrated with Friday night family services, a spiritually enriching adult morning service and a family Havdalah ceremony. During adult gatherings, children are invited to join Kamp Kallah for fun activities, youth services and partying. Babysitting for younger children is also available. Kallah offers plenty of free time to connect with family and friends.
Kallah is a longstanding JRC tradition, a wonderful opportunity to connect with your family and other JRC members, meet new people, relax and learn something new along the way. Kallah is for everyone - young and old, families, singles, parts of families, old members and new. Please don’t hesitate to come just because you’ve never come before. You will be warmly welcomed.
For more information, contact Membership & Program Coordinator Tom Samuels or Kallah coordinators Kim Holstein, Karen Libman or Cindy Solomon or read our Kallah information sheet (coming soon).
