Erev Shabbat Family Service honoring MLK Day

Start your Shabbat at JRC! Our very own Rabbi Don Rossoff and Cantor Howard Friedland lead a service filled with music, discussion and cameraderie.

Tonight, in advance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Rabbi Don will introduce us to the words of Rabbi Joachim Prinz, who, as president of the American Jewish Congress, was one of the organizers of the August  28, 1963 March on Washington. Having fled Nazi Germany, Rabbi Prinz addressed before those gathered what he believed to be "the most urgent, the most disgraceful, the most shameful and the most tragic problem" in the face of discrimination. Immediately following, Rev. King delivered his famous "I have a dream" speech.

Be a greeter! Help make JRC a welcoming congregation by signing up to greet members and guests attending Friday night services. Sign up here>
