6:00 pm: Vegetarian Chili Bar (BYOB)
7:30 pm: Concert featuring Joel Frankel and Tall Trees
Tickets: $10 in advance; $15 at the door
Joel's infectious, pop-infused folk-rock style combined with quirky-yet-memorable lyrics have appeared in films and TV shows and pleased audiences across the country. Although best known for his award-winning children's recordings and performances, Joel also has a mature side. He'll be joined by long-time musical partner Eddie Ganet, son Elan Frankel and other performers.
The evening will kick off with a brief Havdalah service led by Rabbi Rachel Weiss, one of JRC's rabbinic candidates.
This evening is supported by JRC's David Gassel Music Fund
JRC member David Gassel died in 2009. One of his lifelong passions was music, and he was greatly respected as a talented pianist. In his will, David generously bequeathed this JRC fund in order to live on in his community through music. We hope that we honor David's memory on behalf of his family and friends with this concert, and, with your support, many more to come.
