Rabbi Rachel WeissAll JRC adult members are invited to join in on an informal and engaging study session with Rabbi Rachel Weiss, one of our rabbinic candidates:

Mapping the Wilderness: A Look at Torah, Tefillah and Life Cycles
This adult education class creates an illustrated journey from Genesis to the edge of the Jordan, candlelighting to havdalah, birth to death, and everything in between. We’ll study text, discuss, and explore these themes visually and through hevruta.

Babysitting is available for this class, but there's a catch: you absolutely have to sign up by Friday, January 29 at 9:00 am. Sign up for babysitting>

Other Opportunities to Meet Rabbi Weiss
Friday, January 29: Preschool Shabbat
. Rabbi Weiss will help Cantor Friedland sing songs and tell a story to our preschoolers in the morning.

Friday, January 29: Erev Shabbat. Rabbi Weiss will lead our Erev Shabbat service with Cantor Friedland. There is no charge to attend - all are welcome.

Saturday, January 30: Torah Study. Rabbi Weiss will lead our weekly Torah Study. There is no charge to attend - for adult JRC members.

Saturday, January 30: Community Shabbat. Rabbi Weiss will lead our Community Shabbat morning service with Cantor Friedland, followed by a dairy/veg potluck kiddush lunch. There is no charge to attend (but please bring a dish for the potluck if you plan to stay for lunch) - all are welcome.

Saturday, January 30: Teen Pizza/Study Session. JRC's 8th-12th graders are invited to get to know Rabbi Weiss informally and participate in a discussion about the connection between Exodus and other stories, like Star Wars and Harry Potter.
