Silk Road Rising Theatre "Semitic Commonwealth" (Not at JRC)

Please join Hands of Peace on Saturday, February 11, at the Silk Road Rising Theatre in Chicago for staged readings of two plays in the “Semitic Commonwealth” series, a group of six plays by Arab and Jewish playwrights exploring the human toll of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Our featured performance is Motti Lerner’s The Admission, which will be staged at 8 pm. If you’re able to join us earlier, please come at 6 pm for dinner at Roti Modern Mediterranean for dinner and a discussion led by JRC member Rich Katz.  And if you would like to see another perspective on these issues, you’re welcome to join those of us who will also see the 4 pm performance of Scenes from 69* Years by Hannah Khalil--and then stay for dinner and/or the 8 pm show if you like.

Tickets are $10 for each staged reading and are available directly from Silk Road Rising. See the theater's website for “Semitic Commonwealth” for more information about the plays, parking and to purchase tickets.

Please let us know which part(s) of the evening you will attend when you RSVP to Sarah Latif ([email protected]) or Rich Katz ([email protected]).
