Join our Religious School families, Shabbat Minyan members and other JRC members for a warm, lively, spiritual worship service led by Rabbi Rachel Weiss, one of our rabbinic candidates, and Cantor Friedland. The service ends at approximately 11:30 am, but be sure to bring a dairy/veg dish for our potluck kiddush lunch immediately after.
Everyone is invited to our monthly potluck dinners before our Erev Shabbat Service. Dust off your favorite, most delicious dairy/veg recipes to help feed a crowd and enjoy a casual dinner with lots of friends.
Be sure to start your Shabbat righ by staying for our Erev Shabbat Service, led by Cantor Howard Friedland.
JRC members Tina and Gonzalo Escobar have made it their mission to advocate for immigrants facing deportation and separation from their families.
Let's celebrate Hanukkah (a day in advance) and the start of a long holiday weekend together! You'll be able to eat all the sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts - a Hanukkah tradition) you can handle, because you'll be dancing them away to the tunes of Heavy Shtetl, JRC's own klezmer band.
Now that Rabbi Don and his wife, Fran, have had a chance to settle into Evanston, it's time to welcome them officially to JRC. Please join us for a lively Erev Shabbat service led by Rabbi Don, our new interim rabbi, and Cantor Howard, followed by the world's largest ice cream sundae oneg! Reconnect with friends, meet (or catch up with) Rabbi Don and Fran, and learn why we're all so excited for the coming year.
