Immigration 201: The Report and the Reality (not at JRC)

Chicago Foundation for Women sponsored a recent report for its Civic Plan development titled, “Creating Opportunity for Women and Girls in the Chicago Region.” Speakers will highlight the economic, health, and violence-related issues most pressing for immigrant women in the Chicago region, their families, and their communities. Millions of immigrants have come to our country in recent decades seeking work and a better life for themselves. Learn more about the realities of the system and be able to advocate effectively for compassionate and comprehensive immigration reform.

Fall Blood Drive/Bone Marrow Drive

New this year - register to be a bone marrow donor! All it takes is a simple cheek swab. You can donate blood, join the bone marrow registry, or both.

Volunteer Fair

Volunteer HandsWe frequently hear members say that they'd like to get more involved with JRC and help out, but don't know how to get started. Our Volunteer Fair on the first day of school is a great opportunity to dive in. Meet fellow JRC members representing our various committees, task forces and activities. Choose from a variety of positions and tasks, all needed to maintain our vibrant congregation.
