We frequently hear members say that they'd like to get more involved with JRC and help out, but don't know how to get started. Our Volunteer Fair on the first day of school is a great opportunity to dive in. Meet fellow JRC members representing our various committees, task forces and activities. Choose from a variety of positions and tasks, all needed to maintain our vibrant congregation.
Join JRC president Robin Trilling and other Board members for bagels, coffee and conversation as we kick off a new year of school, adult programming, special events, and more.
Be sure to be on hand at either 9:30 am or 11:30 am to join one of our docent-led building tours!
All JRC adult members and preschool parents are invited to join us and meet Rabbi Jim Simon, one of our interim rabbi candidates, over dessert, coffee and wine.
Please RSVP by April 30 so we may be properly prepared.
Please join us for a final celebration of Bonnie Silverman!
Everyone is welcome: preschool families and alumni, JRC members, friends, and colleagues.
YOU bring a dairy/veg, nut-free main dish or side dish for 10-12 people; JRC will take care of beverages and dessert.
Take memory photos in the photo booth, enjoy dinner, drinks and dessert.
The big highlight: Bonnie reads us all a story!
JUF's Israel Solidarity Day brings together Jews from across the Chicago area to celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park. Activities include concerts, drum circles, and an optional 3 mile walk.
JRC members who wish to take part as a group can meet inside the Ravinia grounds along the Bernbaum Sculpture Walk between 11 am-Noon. Bring a picnic lunch and contact Debi Lewis at 773-209-1444 when you arrive if you can't find the JRC group.
Enjoy a performance by JRC's Adult and Junior Choirs, accompanied by members of the JRCymphony. Program highlights include:
- "Two by Two" - a new composition by former JRC member Bob Applebaum, for choirs and instruments
- "Shalom, v'Shalom, v'Shalom" - also by Bob Applebaum, for choirs and instruments
- "The Nigun" - this year's musical by JRC Choir Director Danny Wallenberg, for the Junior Choir
Join us to celebrate the art and artists that make JRC a creative, lively congregation - and support JRC in the process. Everyone's invited for a weekend of exhibits, hands-on workshops & a community art project!
9:00 am-3:00 pm: Art Sale, featuring the work of JRC members. At least 30% of all sales will go to support JRC! (Tickets not required)
We hope you'll join us for our April B'nai Mitzvah Havurah meeting (even if your child's date feels a long way off).
4th-12th Graders: join us for our last Youth Group event of the year! We will have an inflatable obstacle course, an awesome bungee run, a gaga pit and more.
Free of charge for all JRC youth group members, including dinner - this is our thanks for an amazing year!
Chaperones needed for the event. Parents are welcome to come at 6:30 pm and play with your kids.
